Bike-to-Work Day

Bicyclists are encouraged to leave their cars at home and participate in the Sioux City Metro Area’s Bike-to- Work Day on May 18th. Bike-to-Work Day is part of a national effort, endorsed by the U.S. Department of Transportation, to highlight the benefits of bicycling, and to prove to people that it is feasible to leave the car at home for some journeys.

On May 18th, Bicyclists are invited to Albrecht’s Cycle Shop to enjoy a free continental breakfast from 7:00 – 9:00 AM.  In addition, cyclists that show their helmet at participating Downtown Sioux City establishments for dining and drinks will receive all day specials! Registered cyclists will have a chance to win one of three great prizes! Bike-to-Work Day is sponsored by: Albrecht Cycle, City of Sioux City, City of South Sioux City, Downtown Partners, Fareway, SIMPCO, Siouxland Cyclists, Siouxland District Health Department and Siouxland Trails Foundation.
