SIMPCO held their first Membership Workshop at Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City on March 2, 2018. SIMPCO members were given the chance to find out what SMPCO is all about. The Membership Workshop included organizational structure, committees to participate in, divisions within the organization, and how they can get more involved. SIMPCO staff provided information on grants and how SIMPCO can assist members with grant applications, community comprehensive plans, GIS mapping projects, municipal code and zoning updates. Additional information was presented on housing including, funding for home-owner rehabilitation projects through the Housing Trust Fund. SIMPCO works hard to provide real benefits for our members and will continue to help communities lead the way for economic growth, efficient transportation and improved quality of life.
