Part-Time Maintenance Technician
Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS)

SRTS is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep of our fleet and facilities. This hands-on role is essential to ensuring our vehicles and buildings remain safe, clean, and fully operational.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with vehicle repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance in coordination with the fleet mechanic
• Perform general facility maintenance, including:
  • Snow removal using power equipment and shop truck
  • Lawn care, landscaping, and exterior upkeep
  • Power washing windows and concrete surfaces
  • Changing filters, greasing bearings, and maintaining internal equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Monitor inventory and ensure adequate supply levels
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and maintenance programs
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management

Position Details:

• Schedule: Up to 30 hours per week
• Compensation: Competitive hourly pay
• Reports to: Facility Director / Transit Director

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in fleet maintenance and/or facility upkeep
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment and tools safely
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Pre-employment testing is required
