Hamilton Boulevard Corridor Traffic Study Public Input Survey

The Siouxland Interstate Metropolitan Planning Council (SIMPCO) and the City of Sioux City are asking for public input to help improve traffic flow on Hamilton Boulevard from the I-29/Hamilton Boulevard interchange north to Stone Park Boulevard. The Hamilton Boulevard corridor has seen many changes over the last decade, from new commercial developments to the impacts of the reconstruction of I-29. These changes have impacted travel patterns and mobility, and the time has come to evaluate traffic operations along the corridor. This study is in partnership with SIMPCO and the City of Sioux City and is being completed by Burns & McDonnell consulting firm.

The project team needs help from the public to develop recommendations to improve traffic flow and congestion on Hamilton Boulevard. There are two ways for the public to provide input; a short survey and an interactive mapping tool where one can click on a map to note problem areas and provide suggestions to improve those areas.

The survey is open until June 30th, 2021. Please share the survey and mapping tool with friends and neighbors. All input will be part of the traffic study recommendations, which will be complete and announced later this fall.
