SIMPCO staff participated in the 2024 Iowa League of Cities Conference & Exhibit, held from September 18 to 20 at the Sioux City Convention Center. This vibrant 3-day event gathered hundreds of city officials from across Iowa to tackle critical municipal issues and foster valuable connections and knowledge-sharing among cities.
Michelle Bostinelos, Executive Director of SIMPCO, and Rick Hunsaker, Executive Director of Region XII Council of Governments, proudly represented the Iowa Council of Governments (ICOG) at the conference. Alongside Marla Quinn, Grant and Municipal Coordinator of East Central Intergovernmental Association (ECIA), they presented on the role and services of Council of Governments (COGs).
