Working in partnership with Dakota City, the project will address infrastructure capacity limitations in and near the communities' shared industrial area. Planned improvements include new water and sewer mains to serve existing and future industrial sites, as well as roadway enhancements that will improve freight access, transportation efficiency, and safety. The investment will help support future industrial expansion, private sector investment, and job creation throughout the region. Local leaders noted that the project positions both communities for continued economic growth while providing the critical infrastructure needed to support future development. SIMPCO was proud to assist South Sioux City and Dakota City throughout the grant application process. Through strong regional collaboration and strategic planning, the partnership successfully secured this significant federal investment that will benefit the broader Siouxland region for years to come.
