RFQ – Dakota City Pine Street Traffic Study

The Siouxland Interstate Metropolitan Planning Council (SIMPCO) and the City of Dakota City invite the submission of qualifications from experienced and qualified consultants to complete a traffic study for a portion of Pine Street. The goal of this traffic study is to analyze the traffic impacts of paving the existing gravel portion of Pine Street to D Avenue and extending the paving west to intersect Hwy 77/75 to create a complete connection between Dakota Avenue and Hwy 77/75. The analysis would consider the impacts of improvements to the intersection of Hwy 77/75 to accommodate new and future truck traffic, an extension of turning lanes, right-of-way connections to the new street, and impacts of current and potential future industrial development.
