The Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS) is a demand-responsive, ADA-accessible public transit system dedicated to providing reliable transportation services to the general public. Our service areas include Cherokee, Ida, Monona, Plymouth, and Woodbury counties in Iowa, Southern Union County in South Dakota, and Dakota County in Nebraska. We are committed to ensuring that all individuals, including those with mobility challenges, have access to safe and convenient transportation.
Our Fleet

Our buses are equipped with lifts to accommodate mobility devices, ensuring that passengers with wheelchairs, walkers, or other assistive devices can travel comfortably and safely.
Service Types
- Long-Distance Travel: This service provides transportation for medical and other essential appointments that require travel beyond a passenger's local area.
- Comfortable Ride: Passengers travel in clean, well-maintained vehicles designed to provide a safe, comfortable ride.
- Quality Drivers: This service is provided by professional, trained drivers who are committed to safety, reliability, and respectful assistance for all riders.

Curb-to-Curb Service: This service involves the passenger waiting at the curb when the vehicle arrives. The driver will assist the passenger in boarding and will drop them off at the curb of their destination.

Door-to-Door Service: For passengers who need additional assistance, our door-to-door service ensures the driver will help them from their door to the vehicle and from the vehicle to their destination door.
Medicaid and Medicare Information
Passengers who wish to use SRTS through Medicaid or Medicare must notify their Medicaid or Medicare case manager or contact person and request SRTS as their preferred transportation provider. Once approved, SRTS will provide transportation services in accordance with program guidelines.

SRTS offers free language assistance services to individuals with limited English proficiency.
