U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) Grant Award

SIMPCO was awarded a $70,000 planning grant from the U.S. EDA, that will be used for planning and research throughout the region. The U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA) planning investment supports the development and implementation of the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS) for Woodbury, Plymouth, Cherokee, Ida and Monona counties in Iowa and Dakota County, Nebraska. The CEDS process is designed to bring together the region in the creation of an economic development roadmap to diversify and strengthen the regional economy.
