The City of Salix was awarded $56,950.00 in federal and state BRIC funds through a Project Scoping Grant. As a participant in the current Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan, Salix was eligible to receive 85% funding toward a study to determine solutions for stormwater drainage and/or redirection. Findings resulting from the FEMA/Department of Homeland Security-funded Scoping Project enhance the city’s award potential for implementation through a future BRIC funding cycle.
