The City of Salix was awarded $56,950.00 in federal and state BRIC funds through a Project Scoping Grant. As a participant in the current Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan, Salix was eligible to receive 85% funding toward a study to determine solutions for stormwater drainage and/or redirection. Findings resulting from the FEMA/Department of Homeland Security-funded Scoping Project enhance the city’s award potential for implementation through a future BRIC funding cycle. Congratulations to Salix and their diligent efforts to maintain resilience by adapting to changes in available resources! SIMPCO assisted the city with the application for this award-winning project.
