Transportation Planning

The Transportation Division of SIMPCO house the Metropolitan Planning Organization and the Siouxland Regional Transportation Planning Association. Activities include long range and current transportation projects relating to the interstate, highways, roads, freight, transit and bicycle/pedestrian.

Community Development

The Community Development Division of SIMPCO offers of variety of services for member communities including comprehensive planning, codification, grant writing, research, and technical assistance.

Economic Development

The Economic Development Division of SIMPCO provides member communities in assistance with efforts to promote sustainable economic growth throughout the region.  Activities include the Comprehensive Economic Development Strategies (CEDS) committee, grant writing, planning studies,  and technical assistance.

GIS Mapping

The GIS Mapping Division of SIMPCO provides analyzes data and provides geographic data (mapping) to understand relationships, patterns and trend in the region.

Siouxland Regional Transit System

Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS) is the areas regional public transit provider.  SRTS is dedicated to providing transportation for persons of all ages, including those who may require specialized transportation.

Housing Programs

SIMPCO’s Housing Programs offer housing assistance (preservation and new construction) for low to middle income residents within the SIMPCO region.
