For the month of July, our member spotlight is Aurelia, Iowa located in Cherokee County.
Home to 990 Iowans, Aurelia’s amenities are plenty. The community recently opened a new daycare center, built a new community center in 2008 and there is a new housing addition. Citizens of Aurelia spend time enjoying the crushed rock walking path, swimming at the community pool and playing a round of golf.
Fostering a sense of community is important in Aurelia, citizens gather every Wednesday morning for coffee at the Community Center and every July the Fire Department hosts a Fireman’s Ball.
Aurelia is proud to be the home of Iowa State Representative, Dan Huseman!
