SIMPCO Leadership Advocates for Siouxland Priorities in Washington, D.C.

Last week, SIMPCO Executive Director Michelle Bostinelos and Transit Director Brian Pearson traveled to Washington, D.C. as part of the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Conference.

During the visit, Michelle presented to Congressman Randy Feenstra on priority regional initiatives, including the Lower Big Sioux River Watershed Flood Protection Project and the Sioux City Innovation Center.

Over the course of two days, Siouxland leaders discussed key issues affecting the region, including infrastructure, workforce development, education, health care, housing, transportation, and economic development. The Siouxland delegation met with Senators and Members of Congress from Iowa, Nebraska, and South Dakota, as well as federal officials, to advocate for projects and programs that strengthen the region and improve the quality of life across Siouxland.
