ADA-Reasonable Modifcation
ADA (General)
SRTS provides accessible, nondiscriminatory public transit in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Riders may file an ADA complaint if they believe they have been discriminated against based on a disability, denied access, or experienced accessibility barriers.
How to File a General ADA Complaint
To submit a general ADA complaint, please use the official SRTS ADA complaint form:

ADA Complaint Review Timeline
- ADA complaints will be reviewed and adjudicated within two (2) business days.

Requesting a Reasonable Modification
Riders with disabilities may request modifications to policies, practices, or procedures when necessary to access SRTS transit services.
All requests must be submitted in writing using the official form:

- SRTS administrators will respond to your written reasonable modification request within two (2) business days.
Appeals
How to Appeal an ADA or Reasonable Modification Decision
If you disagree with a decision regarding an ADA complaint or a reasonable modification request, you may file a written appeal using the official form:

Appeal Process
- A conference may be held with relevant agencies, such as:
- FTA Region VII Office
- Iowa DOT Office of Public Transit
- SRTS Administrators
- SRTS Board of Directors
- Other human service entities
- You will receive a written response within ten (10) business days.
All appeals must be submitted in writing.
