SIMPCO’s Bicycle Pedestrian Roundtable, in partnership with the Siouxland Chamber of Commerce, was proud to host the Sioux City Metro Bike to Work Day this May in celebration of National Bike Month. This annual event—recognized by the U.S. Department of Transportation and the League of American Bicyclists—encourages residents to swap their car for a bike and enjoy a healthier commute.
We had a fantastic morning at the Bike to Work Day breakfast, where Siouxland cyclists gathered to enjoy complimentary food, giveaways, prizes, and connect with health and fitness vendors. A huge thank you goes out to our generous sponsors, vendors, dedicated volunteers, and all the enthusiastic riders who made the event a success.
Participants were also encouraged to ride downtown and take advantage of Bike to Work Day BOGO specials at local favorites like Brightside Cafe, Buffalo Alice, Hardline Coffee Co., Jackson Street Brewing, Marto Brewing Co., and Winnie's.
