Siouxland Regional Transit System (SRTS) has been awarded a $9.7 million Low or No Emission grant through the Iowa Department of Transportation from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). This funding will support major improvements to public transportation infrastructure in Siouxland.

This award is part of Iowa’s historic $77 million in DOT grants, the largest amount the state has ever received for transit improvements.
About SRTS
Since 1980, SRTS has been dedicated to providing public transportation for persons of all ages, including those who may require specialized transportation. Currently operating 47 transit vehicles, SRTS will expand its fleet to 53 vehicles upon project completion, further improving accessibility and service quality across the region.
