SIMPCO Funding Sources Include:

Membership Dues

Communities that join SIMPCO pay membership dues based on a per capita charge. These funds are used to match with federal and state programs, such as economic development and transportation. The membership dues also support research, data collection, GIS mapping, information dissemination, discussions, collaboration, events, and training. 

 

Administration Fees

SIMPCO oversees multiple federal and state programs for member communities and agencies, assisting them in creating and executing strategies to effectively address their needs.

Grant Writing Services

SIMPCO’s professional staff helps with grant applications for various federal, state, and foundation-funded programs aimed at benefiting communities and improving the quality of life for their citizens. Negotiable grant fees are available. 

 

Direct Planner Services

SIMPCO’s Community Development (CD) staff provides direct planning services to any member community, including grant writing, project administration, special project development, and coordination. This assistance can be provided on-site within the community. Cities and counties have the option to request a professional staff member to work for a set number of hours or days per week at a predetermined fee.
